Use Braid at your own risk

Braid is software for launching and trading coins. Creators choose separate markets on their selected chains or one shared market across two or more chosen chains. You use it at your own risk. Braid is not a bank, a broker or an adviser, and nothing on Braid is financial, legal or tax advice.

You must be of legal age where you live, and you may not use Braid where it is prohibited.

Your wallet and your keys

Braid does not hold your wallet keys, cannot spend from your wallet and will never ask for your seed phrase. You are responsible for your wallets, your keys, your browser trading wallet and your devices. Braid cannot recover a lost key or reverse a transaction you sent.

Trading

A trade shows as done once its result is certified. That is not delivery: settlement follows on chain, and a failed delivery can be corrected or reclaimed. A chain reversal can also undo a transaction, as the risks page describes. Braid does not promise a price, a speed or that any chain will be available.

Fees

The lifetime trading fee is 1.25%. On the curve and braided market, the default allocates 0.60% to Braid and 0.65% to BRAID buyback-and-burn, with no creator payouts or tax. A creator may instead elect 0.55% creator payouts, 0.60% Braid and 0.10% BRAID buyback-and-burn. The election is frozen before trading; the dedicated 0.10% cannot be removed. Graduated exchange-pool allocations differ as disclosed on the fees page. A braided coin with creator payouts can add a fixed tax of 0% to 3%, all of it theirs. A creator can also choose an opening buy surcharge, described on the risks page. A Standard launch charges real network cost only. A braided launch charges the real setup cost of the selected chains plus $2 earmarked for BRAID buyback-and-burn. The full charge is quoted before confirmation; unused money is returned, and a partially failed launch resumes without repeating successful deployments.

A coin keeps the fee rules it launched with. Braid may change the fee rules for coins launched later. It aims to announce such changes in advance where it can, but cannot guarantee a notice period.

A token move costs the real cost plus 0.10% of the amount moved, with a minimum total charge of $1 and no minimum move size beyond the $0.01 dust floor. The full charge is shown before you confirm, including when it exceeds the value moved.

Launching a coin

You are responsible for your coin: its name, image, description, links and what it does. Do not launch a coin that infringes someone's rights, impersonates a person or project, or is unlawful. A coin's fixed identity and supply are immutable once launched. Braid can refuse a launch and can hide a coin on its own site. The trading venues can be upgraded, as described in the contract guide.

Acceptable use

Do not attack, overload or probe Braid's services or contracts, or exploit a bug for gain. Report a vulnerability to support@launchbraid.com instead.

As is, with no guarantees

Braid is provided as it is and as it is available, with no guarantees of any kind. As far as the law allows, Braid LLC is not liable for losses from your use of Braid. That includes losses it did not cause, such as a chain rollback or halt, a bridge failure or a stablecoin freeze, and any indirect or consequential loss. Braid pays routine costs of moving a coin’s money within that move’s committed allowance, up to 1%. It records a short arrival within that allowance as Braid debt, repaid from its fee share; an unpaid debt is not delivered money. It does not cover larger provider losses. Where a failure is Braid's own, Braid's commitment is the one on the risks page: it restores the affected coin's pool from its own fees, and it pays nothing for missed gains, delays or lost opportunity. Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Changes

Braid may upgrade its contracts and its site. It aims to give advance notice of planned changes, pauses and upgrades where it can, but cannot guarantee a notice period. Emergency pauses can happen without notice. If these terms change, the new version is posted with its date, and using Braid after that means you accept it.
